Huacaya Alpacas

Cria Female

AOA# 36254064  DOB: 6/7/2023  (3 yrs)
Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | Light Brown
Sire: ANTONIO OF GOLDEN PINE
Dam: Stirling Ridge KAELEIGH

Baeleigh was born a wee bit premature to a first time mama. She has remained very small. We will keep her to see if she makes it to 100 lbs. in her second year and if she can be bred due to her size. She has a sweet and calm personality and my grandkids mob her and hang on her. No problem! No running away, no kicking, no spitting, no nipping. She sheared 4.5 lbs of luscious soft light brown fleece, with a long staple, and darker points on her face and legs. We are awaiting her histogram and EPD and judging from the handle on this fleece, we expect it will be stellar. We will probably be keeping her just to have this color on our farm. It's beautiful! However, if you are interested in a sweet and small alpaca to start your farm off with, good around children, easy and inexpensive to keep in hay, give us a call and we can talk about a possible sale.

 DOB: 6/1/2024  (2 yrs)
Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | Beige
Sire: ANTONIO OF GOLDEN PINE
Dam: STIRLING RIDGE KHLOË

Here is another beautiful female from Khloë! Born on 6/1/2024 at 18 lbs., she has been growing like a weed! That says a lot for mama. She is a light beige color and curious, friendly, spunky and feisty. She lives up to her name of Vivianne, which means LIVELY! She has a beautifully straight topline and carries herself very upright. Lots of "presence"! If she's like her mama, she will be a big girl with easy birthing and lotsa milk, AND an extra long staple length, which everyone is after! Khloë's last cria, Iona, had a staple length of 5 1/2" !!! Her sire is true black Antonio. This gal has dark eyes and dark muzzle so she will probably throw color for you. She just had her first birthday and is now 100 lbs. and has been weaned for quite awhile. She is ready to go home with you with a reproductive guarantee. Bring her back when she's ready at 2 years for a half price breeding to one of our herdsires.

AOA# 31414920  DOB: 9/19/2008  (18 yrs)
Huacaya | Female | Proven | White | 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Bolivian
Sire: Accoyo America Diomedes
Dam: CMR Bolivian KUPCAKE
Service Sire: J CREEK PASSION ENCORE

Vanora (Nora) is now 17 years old but still gives us amazing fleece. She is retired now from being bred and does not come with any breeding guarantees. Vanora has been bred in the past to Grazing Hills Bradford and birthed a gorgeous girl in 2020 named Kaeleigh who just delivered her first medium brown baby, Baeleigh. They both have amazing fleece with the super inherited quality of lingering fineness. Kaeleigh was such a looker, we rebred Vanora to Bradford for a 2021 cria and she had a dandy gorgeous boy named Locksley you should consider for stud! Vanora was bred in 2022 tp J Creek Passion Encore, a medium brown stud with an amazing EPD! She delivered a little gal we've named Bonny Lass 2023. With Vanora's EPD combined with Encore's EPD, we figured this would be a baby with phenomenal fleece—and we are right on the money . . . Bonny's EPD is in the top 5% to 25% in 7 out of 9 fleece characteristics! LOOK at her latest EPD Report for 2023 (side bar)! Remember THIS GAL IS 15 YEARS OLD! What do all those 2023 EPD values mean for Vanora's cria? Top 14% in the nation! Avg Fiber Diameter (AFD) could decrease by -1.288, really good! Standard Deviation of AFD will decrease by -0.221, good! 28% in the nation! Top 12% in the nation! Spin Fineness (SF) could decrease by -1.408, excellent! Top 13% in the nation! % of Fibers > 30 micron could decrease by -5.379, amazing! Top 16% in the nation! Mean Curve (MC) of fiber could increase by 2.673, super! % Medullation (M) could decrease by -.995, (the full impact of medullation in fleece remains a question at this point in time.) Top 17% in the nation! Mean Staple Length (MSL) could increase by 1.359 Top 1% in the nation! Fleece Weight (FW) could increase by 1.193, INCREDIBLE! What the EPD says is that Vanora is an superb animal with really excellent fleece traits—and we see that she passes these traits to her cria. Vanora took the BLUE in her age group for the 2010 AOBA National Spin-Off. Her 2 year histogram shows why: 17.2 3.5 20.7 CF 100%, Curve 47. Her 3rd year clip was 9.25 lbs. of 20 micron blanket! Fine micron with a heavy shear weight adds up to density. Sometimes I have secretly wished she were a stud, but she produced her handsome son Locksley—a big, hulky, strutting stud you should consider using!

PLEASE NOTE: Because we are very interested in the welfare of our alpaca pals when they go to their new homes, there are some requirements we insist on the Buyer having in place before the sale and delivery is final. We want to see that the Buyer has the means to properly care for an alpaca sold to them. The Buyer agrees that they have no intention of harming the alpaca they are buying. The alpaca will not be hunted or slaughtered for meat or hide. The Buyer will show the Seller the Buyer's ability to provide proper shelter, fencing, food, and a companion alpaca by using FaceTime or a video made by the Buyer and sent to the Seller before the sale or within 48 hours of the sale of the alpaca at auction. Here's one pretty, easy keeping little lady with a fleece that's SO USEABLE! Yes, she may be 17, but she's in great shape and doesn't require any special care for her age thus far, an easy keeper. Rhiannon went through her first pregnancy, birthing without a hitch. SEPT 2013, she had a male cria, McCheyne, who is a dark fawn with vicuna patterning. This boy's legs are sprinked with beige. Rhiannon showed us her milking abilities, because in 4 weeks this little guy packed on 16 lbs.! The sire, Dirk, made a very nice cria! Rhiannon is pretty calm and has a huge cuteness factor. We were surprised to get white Rhiannon out of a DF mom and MRG sire. She has a nice boxy conformation and straight legs. With purchase: Free board for 1 month. Free delivery within 100 miles.

The Buyer will show the Seller the Buyer's ability to provide proper shelter, fencing, food, and a companion alpaca by using FaceTime or a video made by the Buyer and sent to the Seller before the sale or within 48 hours of the sale of the alpaca at auction. Her 2025 histogram results are very nice! EPD stats are EXCELLENT too! Look at the sidebar to see her stats! She would be a great FLEECE addition. With her 2025 EPD stats, she is in the TOP 20% for fiber diameter, TOP 20% for spin fineness, TOP 25% for percent of fibers >30 micron, (i.e., she is in the low percentile for having coarse fibers), TOP 10% for mean curve (crimp), TOP 18% for percentage of medullation (i.e., she does not have a lot of medullation or hollow fibers.) These are all excellent fiber qualities! Eilonwy is named after Princess Eilonwy in the Chronicles of Prydain book series by Lloyd Alexander. Her name is pronounced eye-LAWN-wee. Eilonwy has a reproductive problem that cannot be corrected, and she cannot be bred. What a shame because her EPD is wonderful. Use her as a beautiful fleece animal! She is the product of a line breeding between Finneana and Logan, both having the beautiful Accoyo America Diomedes as their sire. Diomedes was bought by a farm in Canada and is now deceased--a beautiful sire. Diomedes ranked in the TOP 1% in the 2013 EPD stats for all these: AFD, SDAFD, SF %F>30, MC, SDMC. Phenomenal! That means this gal has a double dose of Hemingway, Accoyo Sicuani, Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus and Caligula! Quite the heavy genetic lineup! Eilonwy has a white star on her head. Her medium fawn blanket is solid and lightens under her belly and down her legs to light fawn with white sprinkles on her legs. Both her dam and sire are big animals and as you can see she has a fairly large frame as well. She has a bit jumpy & crabby personality, but we are working on it! I would not recommend her as a starter alpaca for someone who has not worked with alpacas before. If you are interested in her as a pet or fleece animal, let's talk! Because we are very interested in the welfare of our alpaca pals when they go to their new homes, there are some requirements we insist on the buyer having in place before the sale and delivery is final.

Valorie gave birth to her cria from Golden Pines Antonio, a true black on June 8, 2026. We were hoping for dark from this breeding and we sure got it! A dark brown male with black points! Only 6.23% of the US registered herd is this color. Valorie was bred to Flying Dutchman Alpacas Deacon Grey Silver BLADE (MSG) for a September 2023 cria. That breeding produced a handsome bay black male cria with true black points (Silver Blade's Blacksmythe). Valorie has our best alpaca, Vanora, as her mama and the beautiful bay black Grazing Hills Ephraim as her sire. She was bred to gorgeous Grazing Hills Hezekiah and had her first cria June 2020. Now we've got those Running Late genetics on the farm, producing a gorgeous light fawn female, Joeleigh. Valorie is a very good mama, super laid back and calm. In 2022, she gave us JAXXON, one good-lookin' white male with gorgeous fleece. Valorie is just a doll: a calm, sweet little beauty with absolutely crimpy, GORGEOUS apricot fleece and LOTS of it. Her mom, Vanora, has sheared 9 LBS. of 19 micron fleece for us in the past and Ephraim sheared a 4 LB. blanket at 10 months, so we expected that Valorie would have a very fine, but heavy-weight fleece. And she hasn't proved us wrong! She shears one of the heaviest fleeces on the farm, while being a very fine fleece. In fact, she has ONE OF THE HEAVIEST FLEECES IN THE NATION! 16 micron at 3 years! 17 micron at 4 years! Amazing! At 9 years old, you don't usually see the combination of a fine micron (top 8% in the nation) with a heavy fleece weight (top 1% in the nation)! INCREDIBLE GIRL! And she produces incredibly fleeced progeny. 2025 EPD results: TOP 8% AFD , value - 1.639, her cria will likely have a finer fleece Ranked 42% for SDAFD, value - 0.14, her cria will likely have a more uniform fiber diameter TOP 10% SF, value - 1.546, her cria will likely have a lower spin fineness Ranked 26% for %F>30, value - 4.199, her cria will likely have a lower % of fibers greater than 30 micron Ranked 58% for MC, value - 0.204, her cria will likely have a lesser frequency crimp than average SDMC, value 0.479, assesses the uniformity of curvature Ranked 55% for %M, value -0.31, her cria will likely have less % fiber medullation However, "the full impact of medullation remains a question at this point in time" (quote from Yocom-McColl Fiber Labs). TOP 3.66% MSL, value 3.341, her cria will likely have a longer staple length TOP 0.21% FW, value 1.254, her cria will likely have a more heavy fleece weight. In this characteristic she ranked 120 out of 57,855 animals in the EPD results! BW, value 0.171 her cria will likely be a bit heavier in birth weigh

Khloe's latest offspring is VIVIANNE (beige) whose dad is Antonio (true black) with a 20.6 micron at 15 years! Khlo-khlo just had another female cria (beige out of white!) in June of 2024 (Vivianne), the result of a breeding to true black Antonio of Golden Pines who has a 22.7 micron in his 10th year! This Labor Day Auction is for Khloë and includes a breeding to Antonio again or to any of our herdsires to whom she is not related. We would recommend a spring breeding for her. We are very pleased with the result of breeding our Valorie with medium silver gray FDA Deacon Grey Silver Blade! With this breeding we expected some great fleece, a great histogram and a wonderful EPD . . . and he's proven us correct! We are hoping to see what he can do for us in herdsire realm. Can he pass on his stunning black color, long staple, fineness, and possible ability to pass on grey, and his beautiful head, and his calm, sweet nature, and . . . .? Well, we are smitten!

Bradford is the half brother of our dearly departed Dirk. Both are sons of Accoyo-America DIOMEDES, who is now deceased. Diomedes imprinted his handsome head and his amazing fleece characteristics to these sons of his and for that reason we jumped at the chance to have another Diomedes boy on the farm! WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE DIOMEDES BLOODLINE HAS ABSOLUTELY CHANGED THE QUALITY OF OUR HERD. Bradford x Vanora = Kaeleigh: our first Bradford baby born on the farm June 2020. She's a beaut! Kaeleigh is so pretty we rebred Vanora to Bradford . . . and Kenzie . . . and Muireall . . . and Khloë! Three of those four have had their cria and they have GORGEOUS fleece! Many of our breedings will be to Bradford again. That's just how nice we think he is! Bradford has a beautiful head, nice bite, boxy conformation, wonderfully straight topline, super fleece characteristics. Handsome on all counts! We acquired Antonio (Tony) and hoped to produce a lot more color out of our white and light herd. So far he has given us a beige female cria (Vivianne) and a light brown female cria (Baeleigh), both out of white dams who have given us white cria before this, so we are very pleased! He has serviced Kaeleigh, Joeleigh, and Annie for cria born in the fall of 2025! He seems quite potent. Kaeleigh's cria was a white female, Joeleigh's cria is a light fawn female, and Annie's cria is a medium fawn female. He can definitely throw color and REALLY proved it in 2026 with the birth of Hielander, a gorgeous dark brown boy out of a light fawn mama! This color in the U.S. registered herd is under 7%, so rather rare. He has very excellent fleece characteristics for being a true black, shown by his 2025 EPD (which I listed under histogram in the sidebar). One spinner who bought his fleece could not believe the fineness of Antonio's fleece for his age (15 years old) at 20.6 micron with a comfort factor of 97%. That is quite amazing. And it appears he's giving these same characteristics of LINGERING FINENESS to his babies. His 2025 EPD (out of 32,812 alpacas in the EPD program) shows these remarkable stats for his remarkable fleece: TOP 23% for average fiber diameter. TOP 25% for standard deviation of average fiber diameter. TOP 20% for spin fineness. TOP 15% for percentage of fiber over 30 micron (i.e., he does NOT have a large % over 30 micron). TOP 22% for fleece weight. THIS GUY IS 15 YEARS OLD and STILL has a GRADE 2 (BABY/SUPER FINE) fleece!! Use him on your girls for a finer fleece with color! He has certainly done that for our herd. Set up a date for next spring! Buy through the auction and you may use your breeding for the next 12 months.

Jaxxon is now almost 4 years old. He's a very handsome lad a bit on the smaller side. Nevertheless, he's shearing an amazing amount of VERY FINE & LONG (over 5") fleece. His parents have superb EPDs and his fleece looks and feels fantastic! We now have the stats to highlight why that fleece handles so well. We were 99% sure his EPD results would be superior, and WOO-HOO, look at them! His ranking percentile is out of 30,965 male alpacas. Here's what they predict for his cria: TOP 10.5% for AFD, —1.617: likely to decrease fiber diameter in offspring SDAFD, —0.21: likely to decrease standard deviation in offspring (ranked 38%) TOP 12.5% SF, —1.555 likely to decrease spin fineness in offspring TOP 25% %F>30, —4.627: likely to decrease fibers over 30 micron in offspring MC, .775: likely to increase mean curvature in offspring (ranked 51%) Ranked 89% for %M, +1.459, likely to increase medullation in offspring (Yocom-McColl says "the full impact of medullation in fleece remains a question at this point in time.") Joeleigh is absolutely, hands down my FAVORITE girl on the farm. She's very sweet natured, quite easy to handle, curious, has beautiful conformation and a gorgeous head, and amazing fleece! She is now a mature girl and just had her first cria from true black Antonio. And she gave us a little girl! This baby, now named Gwyneth, has the most crimpy, curly fleece I've ever seen on a little cria and the sweetest eyes in her pretty little head. She is light fawn and a beaut, just like her mama. Joeleigh (JOE-lee) was born on June 20, 2020. As we expected from her dam, Valorie, and her sire, Hezekiah, she has gorgeous fleece! It's a crimpy light fawn, very fine, very long, and very heavy! How often do you see THAT combo??? I drool over her 2023 EPD stats! Here's what they mean for her prospective cria: TOP 7% in the nation! Fiber Diameter (AFD) will likely decrease by -1.639, really good! Standard Deviation of AFD could decrease by -0.043, (58%) Top 12% in the nation! Spin Fineness (SF) will likely decrease by -1.419, excellent! % of Fibers > 30 micron could decrease by -3.551, amazing! (30%) Mean Curve (MC) of fiber could increase by .516, a small help. (48%) % Medullation (M) could increase by 0.591, (the full impact of medullation in fleece remains a question at this point in time says Yocom-McColl.) (77%) Top 2.9% in the nation! Mean Staple Length (MSL) will likely increase by 3.687, incredible! Top 2.3% in the nation! Fleece Weight (FW) will likely increase by 0.845, super nice! QUESTION: What does a fine fleece, with a long staple length, and a heavy fleece weight mean to you? ANSWER: Density! This little gal is nicely conformed. Just like her little mama, she's of medium size, has a long staple, very fine fleece, and an exceptionally heavy fleece weight. They look so much alike, I sometimes have trouble telling them apart. Both Joeleigh and her mom, Valorie, have some of the heaviest fleece weights in the nation (see EPD stats).

Kaeleigh had her first cria in June 23, needing no assistance. It amazes me how the good Lord gave maternal instincts. She is a REALLY good momma and stands so still to allow her little GIRL to nurse. Kaeleigh was bred last spring to true black Antonio. What COLOR did we get?? We got a gorgeous medium brown girl with black extremities, exactly what we ordered! (Ha!) If she were a horse I'd call her a bay color and so my husband suggested naming the cria Baeleigh. You can see some of her first baby steps in the video in the right column. Don't miss Baeleigh's EPD results, especially with her dark color. Look at Kaeleigh's EPD in the side bar! Fantastic fleece qualities! Not only is she in the top 20% of fineness (AFD), but in the top 2.8% of staple length and the top 1.18% of fleece weight in the nation! Fineness + heavy fleece weight = density in my book! Mama Kaeleigh got sheared in June of this year. Her whole fleece weight was 9.65 lbs.! I don't know that I've ever had an animal that sheared SO MUCH and with a fine micron fleece on top of it! We are always aiming for a 10 lb. fleece and we are almost there. What do Kaeleigh's 2023 EPD stats mean? They indicate what she will likely contribute to fleece characteristics in her cria: TOP 20% in the nation! Avg Fiber Diameter (AFD) will likely decrease by -1.071, very good! Standard Deviation of AFD will decrease by -0.217, good! (29%) Top 20% in the nation! Spin Fineness (SF) will decrease by -1.08, nice! % of Fibers > 30 micron will decrease by -3.275, amazing! (33%) Mean Curve (MC) of fiber will increase by 1.524, super! (29%) % Medullation (M) will decrease by -0.069, (60%)(the full impact of medullation in fleece remains a question at this point in time according to Yocom-McColl.) Top 2.8% in the nation! Mean Staple Length (MSL) will increase by 3.721, stunning! Top 1.17% in the nation! Fleece Weight (FW) will increase by 0.963, nice! Kaeleigh is from our foundation dam, Vanora, one of the best animals on our farm with year after year of phenomenal EPDs. Her sire is Grazing Hills Bradford, who also has great EPDs, especially for fineness. We expected that Kaeleigh would have nice fiber and she is showing us we were spot on! She is pure bright white, she has a beautiful head and has shaped up well in the conformation department with straight topline and straight legs. Her fleece is exceptionally soft, L-O-N-G, and crimpy with HEAVY coverage. We are expecting her to develop into quite the queen and, in fact, she has attained diva status! We plan (or you can plan!) to use her as a foundation dam.

Annie was bred to true black Antonio and her first breeding took easily. She delivered her first baby, a female cria now named SKYE, on 9/18/2025 with NO problems, an easy birth. Skye packed on the pounds because mama was stuffed with milk (a GREAT genetic trait!) and is a very attentive mother. With this sale, you can also choose to get a half price breeding to one of our boys for Annie, good for a year after her sale (subject to the herdsires we have available on our farm, currently Antonio (black), Bradford (fawn), Locksley (white), Jaxxon (white).) Annie has developed into an elegant young lady with stately carriage. She is a largish girl. Annie's dam had tuxedo patterning and we've wondered with the right match if we could get grey. But true black Antonio produced a medium fawn baby this time! We bet Skye's histogram is refined by Antonio. Her 2025 histogram shows she has a Grade 3 FINE fleece with an almost 4" staple length. This grade is one of the most versatile, not too delicate but with enough strength to handle hats, mittens, socks, and much more! The comfort factor of her fleece is 91%, meaning 91% of the people wearing this next to their skin will find it comfortable. She has a LOT of potential! And her whole breeding career is before her . . . and she's just proven she can birth easily. Her 2025 EPD results show her in the top 15% for staple length and the top 13% in fleece weight for the U.S. alpacas in the EPD program (57,855 alpacas). Her mother, Finneana, had both a silver gray grandsire and great-grandsire. Finn had the classic tuxedo patterning of a gray, but her fleece was light fawn and very fine. Annie's sire, Midas, is a true black. Between both parents there is a potload of great genetics: Victor, Pluro, Camilio, Legacy, Hemingway, Caligula, El Nino. There's also lots of color in her background with medium brown, dark brown, true black, dark rose gray, all the shades of fawn, so we think she can definitely throw color when the time comes. In this package, Annie will come with a reproductive guarantee, free transport to your farm within 100 miles, and a half price breeding fee if you choose to bring her back for her next breeding to one of our boys. We'd recommend Antonio again!

Rosheen is the darling of the farm. She is a tiny pint and will not be bred because of her size. She is unfazed by children mobbing her, petting her, hugging her. She doesn't kick and she doesn't spit. Often she will give us kisses and "talk" to us. This is my husband's and grandchildren's favorite animal because she's so sweet and huggable! And that's quite unusual for an alpaca. Rosheen has very beautiful fine, crimpy, long fleece which is a Grade 1, Ultrafine. The length of her medium fawn staple is 3.9". Her EPD shows her to be in the top 20% in the nation in 4 fleece characteristic categories (out of 7). We won't be selling Rosheen because she makes such an adorable PR girl. But you can buy a fleece of hers if you'd like! Just get in touch with me for price and postage.
