Gorgeous Fawn Fleece!!

Huacaya Herdsire (Male) Light Fawn

AOA# 31543835 DOB: 7/8/201210 yrs
What do you get when you pair a Diomedes/Running Late line with Cochiti?...something amazing! Hezekiah's fleece is incredibly dense for a 16.3 micron, and he has that gorgeous 57 curve statistic. What isn't measured on a histogram is brightness, and his is off the charts. It didn't hurt any that his dam had a 12 micron fleece at her first shearing...her total stats took our breath away...12.4, 2.2, 17.6, 0.2!! Does she ever have a great handle?! He has a proud, kingly stance with upright ...

Valorie is now bred to Flying Dutchman Alpacas Deacon Grey Silver BLADE (MSG) for a September 2023 cria. Can't wait to see what this combo brings! There's a good chance we will get a grey! EXCITED! Valorie has our best alpaca, Vanora, as her mama and the beautiful bay black Grazing Hills Ephraim as her sire. She was bred to gorgeous Grazing Hills Hezekiah and had her first cria in June of 2020. We've been wanting a Hezekiah breeding for several years, to get those Running Late genetics on the ...

Ask a question
Joeleigh is now a mature girl and at 3 years old is bred to FDA Deacon Gray Blade for an April 2024 cria. We can't wait to see what this little beauty will produce! Pregnancy has not yet been confirmed.

Joeleigh (JOE-lee) was born on June 20, 2020. As we expected from her dam, Valorie, and her sire, Hezekiah, she has gorgeous fleece! It's a crimpy light fawn, very fine, very long, and very heavy! How often do you see THAT combo???

I drool over her 2022 EPD stats! Here's what they mean for her prospective cria:
TOP 6.4% in the nation! Fiber Diameter (AFD) will likely decrease by -1.662, really good!
Standard Deviation of AFD will decrease by -0.134, good! (40%)
Top 10% in the nation! Spin Fineness (SF) will decrease by -1.493, excellent!
% of Fibers > 30 micron will decrease by -3.409, amazing!
Mean Curve (MC) of fiber will increase by .171, a small help.
% Medullation (M) will increase by 0.825, (the full impact of medullation in fleece remains a question at this point in time.)
Top 1.44% in the nation! Mean Staple Length (MSL) will increase by 4.572 incredible!
Top 2% in the nation! Fleece Weight (FW) will increase by 0.858, super nice!

This little gal is growing well and nicely conformed. Just like her little mama, she's a bit on the smaller side, has a long staple, very fine fleece, and an exceptionally heavy fleece weight. Both Joeleigh and her mom, Valorie, have some of the heaviest fleece weights in the nation (see EPD stats). That spells D-E-N-S-I-T-Y in my book!

Joeleigh has a very sweet disposition, just like her mama, and has been added to our foundation females.
