Vanora (Nora) is now 17 years old but still gives us amazing fleece. She is retired now from being bred and does not come with any breeding guarantees. Vanora has been bred in the past to Grazing Hills Bradford and birthed a gorgeous girl in 2020 named Kaeleigh who just delivered her first medium brown baby, Baeleigh. They both have amazing fleece with the super inherited quality of lingering fineness. Kaeleigh was such a looker, we rebred Vanora to Bradford for a 2021 cria and she had a dandy gorgeous boy named Locksley you should consider for stud! Vanora was bred in 2022 tp J Creek Passion Encore, a medium brown stud with an amazing EPD! She delivered a little gal we've named Bonny Lass 2023. With Vanora's EPD combined with Encore's EPD, we figured this would be a baby with phenomenal fleece—and we are right on the money . . . Bonny's EPD is in the top 5% to 25% in 7 out of 9 fleece characteristics! LOOK at her latest EPD Report for 2023 (side bar)! Remember THIS GAL IS 15 YEARS OLD! What do all those 2023 EPD values mean for Vanora's cria? Top 14% in the nation! Avg Fiber Diameter (AFD) could decrease by -1.288, really good! Standard Deviation of AFD will decrease by -0.221, good! 28% in the nation! Top 12% in the nation! Spin Fineness (SF) could decrease by -1.408, excellent! Top 13% in the nation! % of Fibers > 30 micron could decrease by -5.379, amazing! Top 16% in the nation! Mean Curve (MC) of fiber could increase by 2.673, super! % Medullation (M) could decrease by -.995, (the full impact of medullation in fleece remains a question at this point in time.) Top 17% in the nation! Mean Staple Length (MSL) could increase by 1.359 Top 1% in the nation! Fleece Weight (FW) could increase by 1.193, INCREDIBLE! What the EPD says is that Vanora is an superb animal with really excellent fleece traits—and we see that she passes these traits to her cria. Vanora took the BLUE in her age group for the 2010 AOBA National Spin-Off. Her 2 year histogram shows why: 17.2 3.5 20.7 CF 100%, Curve 47. Her 3rd year clip was 9.25 lbs. of 20 micron blanket! Fine micron with a heavy shear weight adds up to density. Sometimes I have secretly wished she were a stud, but she produced her handsome son Locksley—a big, hulky, strutting stud you should consider using!

Here's one pretty, easy keeping little lady with a fleece that's SO USEABLE! Yes, she may be 17, but she's in great shape and doesn't require any special care for her age thus far, an easy keeper. Rhiannon went through her first pregnancy, birthing without a hitch. SEPT 2013, she had a male cria, McCheyne, who is a dark fawn with vicuna patterning. This boy's legs are sprinked with beige. Rhiannon showed us her milking abilities, because in 4 weeks this little guy packed on 16 lbs.! The sire, Dirk, made a very nice cria! Rhiannon is pretty calm and has a huge cuteness factor. We were surprised to get white Rhiannon out of a DF mom and MRG sire. She has a nice boxy conformation and straight legs. With purchase: Free board for 1 month. Free delivery within 100 miles.

Her 2025 histogram results are very nice! EPD stats are EXCELLENT too! Look at the sidebar to see her stats! She would be a great FLEECE addition. With her 2025 EPD stats, she is in the TOP 20% for fiber diameter, TOP 20% for spin fineness, TOP 25% for percent of fibers >30 micron, (i.e., she is in the low percentile for having coarse fibers), TOP 10% for mean curve (crimp), TOP 18% for percentage of medullation (i.e., she does not have a lot of medullation or hollow fibers.) These are all excellent fiber qualities! Eilonwy is named after Princess Eilonwy in the Chronicles of Prydain book series by Lloyd Alexander. Her name is pronounced eye-LAWN-wee. Eilonwy has a reproductive problem that cannot be corrected, and she cannot be bred. What a shame because her EPD is wonderful. Use her as a beautiful fleece animal! She is the product of a line breeding between Finneana and Logan, both having the beautiful Accoyo America Diomedes as their sire. Diomedes was bought by a farm in Canada and is now deceased--a beautiful sire. Diomedes ranked in the TOP 1% in the 2013 EPD stats for all these: AFD, SDAFD, SF %F>30, MC, SDMC. Phenomenal! That means this gal has a double dose of Hemingway, Accoyo Sicuani, Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus and Caligula! Quite the heavy genetic lineup! Eilonwy has a white star on her head. Her medium fawn blanket is solid and lightens under her belly and down her legs to light fawn with white sprinkles on her legs. Both her dam and sire are big animals and as you can see she has a fairly large frame as well. She has a bit jumpy & crabby personality, but we are working on it! I would not recommend her as a starter alpaca for someone who has not worked with alpacas before. If you are interested in her as a pet or fleece animal, let's talk! Khloe's claim to fame is the LONG staple length she puts on her babies. Her cria from 2022, Iona, had amazing length of 5 1/2" and as a yearling she sold quickly because of it! Khloe's latest offspring is VIVIANNE (beige) whose dad is Antonio (true black) with a 20.6 micron at 15 years! Khlo-khlo just had another female cria (beige out of white!) in June of 2024 (Vivianne), the result of a breeding to true black Antonio of Golden Pines who has a 22.7 micron in his 10th year! This Labor Day Auction is for Khloë and includes a breeding to Antonio again or to any of our herdsires to whom she is not related. We would recommend a spring breeding for her.
