Hazelnut had a rather eventful birth. Her dam, Ebony, went into labor and was doing well.  Then she ran into trouble and we raced her over to WSU where it was discovered she had a uterine torsion. Ebony was successfully detorsed, but did not progress well.  Dr. Tibary decided that she needed to have a C-section.

Hazelnut is another example of the beautiful fleece her sire, Duncan, is putting on his babies. Her fleece is MUCH finer, crimpier, and denser than her dam's ever was.  Hazelnut has dark points around her eyes and muzzle and is a very pretty baby with a beautiful short muzzle and full topknot, just like dad. Her fiber is gorgeous.
