Nona's name is very appropriate as it means "ninth."  She is our ninth alpaca and was born in September, the ninth month.  Nona is Fiona's first cria and she was born with no assistance.  She weighed in at 16.5 lbs. and has made nice weight gains as she is growing. She is a whopping big girl, an amazon woman! We hope to get her bred in the spring of 2007. She is certainly interested in every male that passes by.

She has peachy beige markings on her ears, the trace of color her light brown sire, Premier's Vidal (http://www.premieralpacas.com/Stud%20service.htm), gave her.  You can't beat Nona's superb lineage with Camilio and Microsoft genetics from her sire's side and Pperuvian Caligula on her dam's side.  Her downy soft fiber demonstrates those Microsoft genes at work. She has a medium amplitude crimp. Her attitude is sweet and she enjoys people, but she gets quite impish at times and makes us laugh with her leaping antics. We're looking forward to shearing day to get a histogram on this gal.  We have no doubt the micron count will be microsoft low!
