Eilinoir is a Scottish twist on a name meaning "light." This is a bit ironic since Eili is solid jet black – except for two little white tufts on her shoulder, the "lights" in her dark blanket.

Eili has a heritage of Zorro genetics on her mama’s side along with some silver grey in her background. Her head is rather finely featured, slim and delicate with enormous eyes; she is of medium build, with a usual weight of 150 lbs. and a height of 35 inches at the shoulder. Her fiber features a very fine amplitude crimp. Even though her histogram figures are nothing to crow about, Eilinoir's best features are that she's black, black, BLACK, young, female, and can be improved with the right stud!

As a yearling, Eili brought us a 3rd place ribbon at the NW Alpaca Showcase in the full fleece competition.

Eilinoir was bred to our own Duncan of Stirling Ridge and birthed a dark fawn healthy female cria, Kate, in early June 2006. As expected Duncan improved the fleece quality substantially.  Duncan has shown us what he can do by siring Iagan, who is out of Eilinoir's dam, Ebony.  Ebony's fiber is like Eilinoir's, but Duncan has done some spectacular things for Iagan who has a beginning AFD of 16 as a dark fawn with tons of crimp and density! 

Eili has been bred to Paradise Ridge Camlet (beige) for a June 2007 cria. Camlet was sired by Camilio (grandsire Vengador) and has density and fiber character to give Eilinoir in this next breeding. You can't beat those genetics! You can't beat this price for a young female and her cria. Who knows? Eilinoir's price will go up month by month as she nears her birthing date. This month is her least expensive price.  Once the cria is born, we may decide to keep it and will adjust her sales price accordingly.

Eilinoir is also offered in a package price with Fiona (white) who will be bred this spring, for a 4 in 1 package at $22,000.
